Instead, this expression relies entirely on warm, ambient air to dry the grain, preserving the absolute purity of the spirit. Matured patiently for a decade in a combination of hand-selected American and European oak ex-sherry casks, and bottled at an approachable 40% ABV, this single malt focuses entirely on natural sweetness, crisp green orchard fruits, and a smooth, elegant wood character.

The nose is wonderfully fresh, sweet, and inviting, opening with vibrant aromas of crisp green apples, sweet malted biscuits, and fresh meadow grass, before slowly revealing softer undertones of sweet vanilla pod, yellow plums, and warm oak shavings. On the palate, the liquid coats the mouth with a smooth, light-to-medium-bodied texture that features zero spirit heat or rough edges. Delightfully approachable flavours of sweet toffee apple, honeyed popcorn, and fresh vanilla cream take complete control of the entry, transitioning effortlessly into a spicier mid-palate laced with hints of ground cinnamon, fresh walnuts, and candied orange peel. The finish is clean, smooth, and remarkably refreshing, concluding with a persistent trail of drying malt, soft oak tannins, and a final, distinct green apple crunch.

The careful cask selection, warehouse monitoring, and final batch marriage of this flagship ten-year-old expression are overseen by Glengoyne’s experienced production and blending panels. Because the distillery uses zero peat smoke to hide any distillation flaws, the blending team must exercise immense discipline when combining barrels from the dunnage stores. They target an exact ratio of sweet, vanilla-forward American oak bourbon and sherry casks alongside the fruitier, more tannic European oak sherry wood, ensuring that the natural, unpeated apple and honey characteristics of the distillate shine at maximum volume without any wood bitterness.
