This GlenDronach single cask from batch 16 has been distilled in 1995 and left for 22 years to mature in one Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon. Only 518 bottles worldwide were produced. If you’re a GlenDronach fan then this one is not to be missed, check out these tasting notes.
Nose: Fruit bun, melted Highland toffee bars, Sherry aromas with sticky toffee pudding.
Palate: The sticky toffee pudding is exploding on the palate, sweet toffee, a little bit of matchstick, it’s dry and a little bitter with blackcurrants and menthol.
Finish: The finish is long and has quite a bit of flavour. There’s a bit of sulphur which is pleasant and more dry Sherry notes combine with blackberries and blueberries.
